A Day in the Life: Creative Workforce Immersion for Carver Sophomores
Fall 2026
A Day in the Life is a hands-on arts education and workforce pilot serving sophomores from Norwalk Public Schools.
Built on the idea that students should not only experience the arts from the audience or stage, but also understand the technical, creative, and business systems behind professional productions, the program opens pathways into careers that are often unseen and out of reach.
In partnership with Factory Underground Tech and The Carver, students are introduced to career tracks including concert production, stage and theater management, audio, lighting, media, logistics, and creative entrepreneurship.
Participants develop real-world skills—communication, collaboration, professionalism, and technical fluency—while gaining exposure to the broader creative economy.
Designed to expand access to professional creative spaces, the program helps ensure more young people see themselves reflected in—and able to participate in—the arts.
By connecting creative expression with tangible skills and future pathways, A Day in the Life supports a more inclusive and accessible pipeline into the creative workforce.
