Calling All Connecticut Middle and High School Musicians

Battle of the Jam is back!

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, District Music Hall is once again giving Connecticut’s next generation of musicians the opportunity to perform on a professional stage before a live audience and a panel of music industry professionals.

Perform with your band or step into the spotlight as a solo artist. All musical genres are welcome. We’re looking for talent, creativity and performers ready to show Connecticut what they can do.

Up to twelve acts will be selected to perform in the live Battle of the Jam showcase at District Music Hall on March 7, 2027, competing for prizes, recognition and serious bragging rights.

Ready to take the stage?

Submit two of your best tracks as audio files, videos or links by January 15, 2027.

If selected, you’ll perform one song live—choose the song that best represents who you are as an artist.

Selected performers must be available to perform live at District Music Hall on March 7, 2027. A completed parent or guardian consent form is required for each participating student under age 18.

Battle of the Jam is open to middle and high school students throughout Connecticut.

Proceeds from application fees, donations and sponsorships will help fund scholarships for music and production summer camps presented in partnership with Factory Underground at District Music Hall in 2027.
